Therapy for Expats & International Clients

Heathwell is a multilingual, multicultural practice. We offer therapy in nine languages across our team, and many of our therapists have lived and worked across different countries, with personal experience of migration, relocation, and adapting to new cultural environments.

We understand what it can feel like to live between places, languages, and ways of being. The sense of distance that can emerge, even when life appears settled from the outside. The pressure this can place on relationships, identity, and your connection to others.

We also recognise that in many international and expat communities, social and professional circles can be small and interconnected. Therapy often needs to offer a space that is private, separate, and not tied to your immediate environment.

Living abroad can bring opportunities, but also pressure

These are some of the experiences people come to therapy with when living abroad

Trying to settle into a new environment while finding it difficult to connect or feel a sense of belonging
Navigating relationship difficulties, including changes following a move or betrayal, without close support
Navigating cultural differences and shifts in relationship dynamics following a move
A sense of being between identities, or not fully at home anywhere
Distance from family, including more complex or painful dynamics
High-pressure work environments without a stable support system
Understanding yourself and your relationships within neurodiverse or mixed-neurotype dynamics
Trying to understand relationship patterns that feel difficult to shift

Why Heathwell

A multilingual, culturally attuned therapy practice

Heathwell is a multilingual, multicultural practice based in London, offering online therapy to adults and couples across Europe and internationally.

Many of our therapists have lived across different countries and cultures themselves. This informs how we understand relocation, relationships, identity, and the complexity of building a life away from home.

Therapy in nine languages

We offer therapy in nine languages across our team, allowing you to speak in the language that feels most natural to you.

A focus on relationships

We specialise in relationship therapy, including infidelity, complex dynamics, and patterns that can be difficult to understand or shift.

Experience with neurodiverse clients and couples

We work with individuals and couples within neurodiverse and mixed-neurotype dynamics, with an understanding of how these experiences shape communication, connection, and identity.

A confidential space, separate from your environment

For many people living abroad, privacy matters. Therapy offers a space that is not connected to your work, social, or local community.

A considered, professional practice

Our therapists are qualified, experienced, registered with professional bodies, and fully insured. We offer both short and long-term therapy, across a range of specialisms and approaches.

Thoughtful matching and flexibility

We take time to understand what you are looking for and connect you with a therapist whose experience fits your needs. We offer flexible appointment times and, where possible, sessions at short notice.

Supporting clients across Europe

Heathwell offers online therapy to adults and couples living across Europe and internationally, including clients based in Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Monaco.

Many of the people we work with are living between countries, cultures, and languages, often without a consistent support system around them.
